The shape of the mech is based of the “Gunmen” from Gurren Lagann. It unintendedly ended up sharing a similarity to both Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet from Marvel. I wanted to use purple and gold and give it a kingly aura with a crown with gem stones in it, but then a friend pointed out the resemblance.
